1:1 Tech + Creative Help
One-on-One Help With
Tech + Creative Tools.
Learn it. Fix it. Get unstuck.
I help people learn complicated software, creative tools, and technology without taking a giant class or spending hours hunting through YouTube. That might mean retouching a photo, building a website, getting your files and backups under control, figuring out AI, learning to fly a drone, or fixing a printer that suddenly stopped cooperating.
We can screen share, work side by side, or head out into the field and figure it out together.
How this works
Ways We Can Work Together
Quick Fixes
Something small but annoying? Let’s figure it out.
Bring me the thing that suddenly stopped working. A printer that won’t connect, Wi-Fi or syncing problems, a weird software setting, device setup, or something on your computer that just isn’t behaving. Sometimes a quick phone call is enough. Other times we can screen share and work through it together.
- Printer issues
- Wi-Fi
- Syncing
- Software weirdness
- Device setup
- Install software

I can demonstrate on my screen while you watch and ask questions, or you take the controls and I’ll guide you step by step. Learn Lightroom or Photoshop, retouch a photo, edit video, build or improve a website, organize your files, figure out AI, or even work through setting up a crypto wallet securely.

Out in the Field
Hands-on help, out in the field.
Take a 2-hour drone flight or come on a 4-hour photo walk and we’ll work on it together in the real world. We can focus on flying, camera settings, exposure, composition, lenses, landscapes, or simply getting more confident with your phone, camera, or other photographic gear. I’m based in Las Vegas and Henderson, but I can travel to you for field sessions with travel costs added.

Choose Your Session.
A small annoying problem is a flat price and a short call. Learning something is booked by time, because that is the part that keeps paying you back. And some things only make sense outdoors, with the camera in your hands.
Reduced rates are available for seniors 65+ and currently enrolled students on remote Quick Fix, Coaching, and Deep Dive sessions.
Field experiences and session packages remain at standard pricing.

What I Can Help You With.
My friends have called me “Troogle” for years. I’m naturally curious, I keep up with new technology, and I’ve spent a long time working across creative tools and complicated systems. Here are the areas I help people with most.
Real examples
A Few Ways I’ve Helped.
A dad reached out because his son wanted to learn video editing. They could have signed him up for a big online course with hours of lessons and an entire curriculum. But that wasn’t really what he needed.
We spent a few one-on-one sessions together. I showed him the software, explained the basic workflow, answered questions as they came up, and helped him get comfortable enough to start experimenting on his own. A few sessions later, he was off and running.
He didn’t need to learn everything there was to know about video editing. He just needed someone to help him over that first intimidating hump.
A photographer friend asked me to teach him Lightroom. But before we really got into the software, I realized there was another problem to solve first.
His photos were stored in folders by year. Which technically worked, right up until I asked something like, “Can you find that landscape you shot in Sedona?” Now he had to remember what year the trip happened before he could even start looking. He also didn’t have a real backup plan. If something happened to the computer or the house, years of photography could go with it.
So we started there. We organized his library around how he actually looks for images, set up a backup system, and then moved into Lightroom. About six sessions later, he could find his photographs, edit them, and make prints on his own.
Sometimes the software isn’t really the first problem. You have to get the foundation right first.
A friend wanted help buying crypto for the first time. It would have been easy to open an account, make the purchase, and call it done. But with crypto, I’m pretty safety-minded.
So before we bought anything, I walked them through the basics: account security, passwords, two-factor authentication, and how a hardware wallet and cold storage actually work. Then we set everything up together and went through the process slowly enough that they understood what they were doing at each step.
Crypto can feel ridiculously complicated when you’re starting out. Exchanges, wallets, addresses, seed phrases, networks, cold storage. There are a lot of places to get confused.
You don’t have to understand all of it before you begin. I can walk you through it one step at a time. (This is setup and security help, by the way. I don’t give investment advice, and I never handle anyone’s seed phrase or passwords.)
Someone came to me wanting to build their own website in WordPress. They didn’t want me to build the whole thing for them. They just needed help getting through that intimidating beginning.
So we spent about 90 minutes together setting up WordPress and the Avada theme, creating the basic navigation, and getting the homepage started. I showed them how the pieces worked and how to keep building from there.
That was enough. Once the foundation made sense, they took over and built the rest of the website themselves.
Sometimes you don’t need someone to do it for you. You just need someone to get you through the part you don’t know yet.
A wildlife photographer friend wanted to sharpen her camera-setting skills, so we started doing photo walks together. She already knew her camera and was very comfortable photographing wildlife. But landscapes were different.
With wildlife, you’re reacting quickly. The subject is moving, the light is changing, and your settings are built around freezing action and being ready for the moment. Landscapes asked her to slow down.
We worked on adjusting her settings for the scene and paying more attention to depth, light, composition, and what was actually making the photograph interesting. Sometimes the issue wasn’t the camera at all. It was taking an extra minute to look before pressing the shutter.
We ended up going out on quite a few shoots together, working side by side and reviewing what was happening as we photographed.
She didn’t need Photography 101. She needed help applying what she already knew in a different way.
Apparently, I’ve Been Helping People Figure Things Out for Years.
When I was younger and living in the Bay Area, I spent a lot of time doing one-on-one technology sessions with seniors in Marin.
Sometimes it was an iPad. Sometimes an iPhone. A new computer. A sound system. Photoshop. Email. Whatever they were trying to understand that week. Often it was something they had bought because it was supposed to make life easier, and somehow it made everything more complicated.
My job was basically to sit beside them, figure out where the confusion was, and make it simple. And I kept hearing the same thing:
“You’re a really good teacher.”
It took me a while to understand what they meant. It wasn’t that I knew every answer instantly. I didn’t. It was that I was patient. I didn’t make anyone feel stupid for not knowing something. I could explain complicated things in normal language, and I genuinely enjoyed the moment when it finally clicked for them.
Years later, the tools have gotten a lot more sophisticated. AI. Websites. Lightroom. Apps. Design software. Digital archives. Backups. Crypto wallets. Creative workflows. But the thing I’m good at hasn’t really changed.
Bring me the thing that has you stuck. I’ll help you understand it, untangle it, and move forward.
Sometimes you don’t need another tutorial. You just need the right person sitting beside you.

Buy Session Packs and Save
Some things take more than one conversation. Keep the momentum going, spend less per session, and pick up where we left off instead of starting from scratch each time.
Build your own block
Need a Different Number of Hours? More Hours = More Savings.
Slide to build a block that fits what you are working on. The hourly rate steps down as the block gets bigger.
5-session packs are valid for 6 months, and 10-session packs are valid for 12 months. Each session equals 60 minutes, and you can combine sessions when you want more time. For example, a 2-hour meeting uses 2 sessions.
Session packs cover scheduled meeting time only and do not include ongoing support between appointments.
